Let's vary the pleasures with this delicious roast beef breaded with sesame seeds and mashed sweet potatoes.
Ingredients for 4 persons
- 1 roast beef (1 kg)
- 800 g sweet potatoes
- 100 g semi-salted butter
- 10 cl of heavy cream
- 60 g breadcrumbs
- 4 tbsp. mignonnette pepper
- 4 tbsp. sesame seeds
- 5 cl of whiskey
- 15 cl of liquid cream
- Salt, freshly ground pepper

Breaded roast beef and mashed sweet potatoes
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (th.6).
Prepare the puree:
Peel and wash the sweet potatoes. Cut them into pieces and place them in a pot of cold salted water with coarse salt. Bring to a boil and cook, about 10 minutes, until tender. Drain.
Prepare the mash by crushing the sweet potatoes, add 50 g of butter, heavy cream and season. It should have a smooth appearance.
Prepare the breaded roast beef:
- Melt 20 g of butter.
Brush the roast beef with melted butter, roll it in the breadcrumbs, crushed pepper and sesame seeds mixture.
Melt 30 g of butter in a pan, quickly sear the roast beef on all sides. Reserve the cooking pan without cleaning it. Transfer the meat to a dish in the oven, put in the oven and cook for 25 minutes. Remove roast beef, keep warm wrapped in foil.
Pour the whiskey into the baking dish, scraping the bottom well to collect the cooking juices.
Pour the liquid cream into the reserved cooking pan, add the juice to the whiskey. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm. If necessary pass the cream to the Chinese.
Unwrap the roast beef, cut it into slices (collect and add the juice from the cut to the sauce).
- Serve with the mashed sweet potatoes and a bead of sauce.
You can also dress up small green vegetables.
